INTRODUCTION

Redesigning transportation booking with Driverseat. Driverseat is one of the fastest growing franchises in North America. Providing transportation solutions from chartered tours, shuttles, and personal chauffers. During my time as their marketing intern, I took the initiate to help redesign and improve Driverseat's current web structure.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Driverseat was expanding at an exponential rate. The rapid growth meant more users and a demand for more drivers. Driverseat's old flow and designs were out dated and were not hitting set performance metrics. We wanted to figure out, how to improve and simplify the user journey experience.

BREAKDOWN OF THE PROBLEM

Our dashboard and website platforms are not effective at recruiting new users or connecting them with volunteer opportunities.

😴 Users did not have confirmation or instant feedback

The lengthy and inefficient user flow was unfriendly and did not provide any confirmation insights to the user.

USER RESEARCH

We conducted our user research with a group of 10 participants, all of whom have previously used Driverseat’s services in the past. The participants varied in background and experience. A common consensus was the Driverseat website was hard to navigate and failed to provide a convenient way to schedule their services.

IDEATION

In a brainstorming session with the marketing manager, web development team, president and CEO we explored new ideas to replace Driverseat’s current solution. We decided that to increase conversion, we should remove ambiguity and focus on improving the input field. The main focus was to shift the conversation between Driverseat and users from emails, directly to the Driverseat platform.

SOLUTION

Users use familiarity to complete tasks. Driverseat’s current solution is familiar, but it is in efficient and ineffective. The solution is meant to improve how quick, straightforward, and clear, the process is while still maintaining a familiarity to other market solutions.
