Bettermind is a solution to a growing mental health problem. Created as a capstone project addressed to solving a real-world issue, Bettermind lends an ear to those suffering from their own mental health. In 2022 we designed an online platform that focuses on accessibility and anonymity.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Many online mental health services require personal and sensitive information to create an account, also requiring a camera and microphone. These devices are not accessible by all, and also pose a privacy risk. How do we provide a mental health services with focus on anonymity?

There is a large stigma around voice and image recording online, and users' privacy not being protected.
